Family Time

Every since I had Tate I have become very aware of the importance of family. I have always known it was crucial, but being a mom has allowed me to enjoy each moment with Tate and truly appreciate all my family has done for me. We love having family time. Since Tate is still so young, we don't do a whole lot of family "outings" but we make an effort to spend time as a family at home each night. We love to read together, play peek-a-boo, snuggle etc... We finally had one day of good weather two weeks ago so we went to the park and had a picnic. We brought Tate's saucer seat, threw the football, at lunch and enjoyed the nice weather. Tate ADORES being outside, so we go on walks as often as the weather will permit. We are excited for summer to get into full swing....as of right now all of our walks consist of Tate being very bundled. But hey, it gets him outside and that's what he loves. Here are some cute pics from our picnic and some of our walks...

We were able to go home to visit my family last week and it was so fun! The weather was great, everyone was thrilled to see Tate, and we were able to spend some quality time together. We went to Palm Desert with my mom, Steve and Chad. We went out to eat, went swimming, and my mom babysat the bug so that we could go see a movie (which has only happened twice since he's been born!) So that was such a treat. We just lounged in the pool at my Dad and Carol's house and then went to church and played games on Sunday. The whole trip was just so relaxing and wonderful. I am constantly amazed at how much my parents do for us and Tate. Constant gifts and thoughtful gestures, we are so appreciative. I was worried that Tate would take a while to warm up to my fam since he doesn't see them that often, but he was so sweet to them immediately. You can tell that he loves them so much already. There is nothing like watching them together, it's so great and makes me so happy. Thanks again for a great trip, we love you!!!
