Christmas and Family Time

We have so much to catch up on. Christmas and Thanksgiving were wonderful. We got to spend a lot of time with my family over the two holidays, as well as Ryan's family. We went to Northern California to spend Thanksgiving with my dad's family. We went to San Francisco and made a lot of great memories over the week we were there. None of that side of my family had met Tate before so it was a lot of fun to watch him interact with them through the week. My grandma's house is my favorite place, it is so cozy and homey. We look so forward to going each year.

We started the Christmas season off by cutting down our Christmas tree, which was so fun! Di and Stan went with us, it was great to share that memory with them...and good thing because there was no way I would have been ANY help dragging that prickly tree back to the car! ha! Thanks Stan! And Buggy was a busy boy, as usual, so Di was much needed in the lot as well. =)

Ry's work had 2 really fun Christmas parties. One was an ugly sweater party and the other was a nice sit down dinner at the Marriott. They had a comedian, great company, and good food.

Tate got to sit on Santa's lap for the first time this year and he LOVED it! I am a huge Christmas enthusiast, so needless to say "santa" was one of his first words! ha! He knew who santa was long before he sat on his lap so he was thrilled to finally see him in person. He loved pointing santa out on all his Christmas jammies each night. I loved watching his eyes light up when we would turn on the Christmas lights outside and on the tree. He throughly enjoyed the holidays, which brought me great pleasure. He got lots of toys and gifts, but santa and the lights were still his main interest. It was so cute! He would just look at anything with lights or music and just say..."WOW!" Love him.

It was Ry's year for Christmas so we went to my mom's before Christmas, spent Christmas Eve and and Christmas day at Ry's parents house and my dad and Carol came over New Years to celebrate Christmas. Tate ADORES all his grandparents! He is so loved and it shows because he recognizes each person and has such special bond with each of them. He is a very lucky boy to have so much love ALL the time! We are so appreciative of all our parents do for us. Most of all, we appreciate the time spent and the sincere interest they take in our lives each day. Life gets so busy, but never too busy to tell us they love us and are thinking about us all the time. I am so happy that Tate will grow up with a strong family unit, it is so important. Thank you to all our family for making our holiday season so special!
